Jade Gibbons is an 18 year old artist from East Hull, UK. She started her YouTube channel in early 2015, posting her first cover on January 23rd. The cover was of Ed Sheeran's single 'Photograph', and in just over a month reached over 30,000 views and over 2,000 likes. This was just the start of her gaining a fan base on YouTube.

A couple of weeks later she posted another cover which blew up, this time it was of 'Heroes' by Alesso featuring Tove Lo. Within a couple of weeks, her subscribers on her YouTube account blew up, and her fan base was growing quicker than she could ever expect.

By December 2015, Jade was starting to get out into the world rather than just on YouTube. She played her first ever gig in front of hundreds of people at The Welly in Hull. Seeing people turn up to a hometown gig was quite a special moment for Jade, even if it was just her singing covers to a crowd of people.

Starting 2016, Jade knew it was time that she stopped doing just covers and started writing her own music. For the first month of the year, Jade traveled around writing songs about her life and the things that meant something to her. Due to the fact Jade had recently gotten out of a relationship, she found inspiration in her heartache and problems to write a couple of songs for her album, but at the same time she thought back over her life and the experiences she has had the pleasure of experiencing to write songs about too. She didn't want all her songs to be just about love, she wanted her music to be unique and special to her.

Mid August, Jade got the chance to go to London and spend a couple of weeks there recording in a studio. In this time, she recorded the entirety of her first mini album, which she hopes to release in late 2017. In this time, she also got to work with several other songwriters like Jamie Scott. This raised her confidence when it came to songwriting and also meant that she had more of a selection of songs to pick from for her mini album.

Despite the fact that she was writing her own songs, she also made sure she kept her YouTube channel active with a new cover coming out every couple of weeks. Some being studio recorded, some sung live in her living room and uploaded like that. Both were a good way to keep her fans interested in her and the music she had to offer. However, at the same time, it continued to raise her fan base as new people sometimes came across her covers and had an interest in them.

Now Jade is ready to go on tour again with a mix of songs, both original and covers to wow the world and increase her ever growing fan base. However, this isn't until after she releases her first original song 'Lucky', which is set to be released early 2017.
